Today's Reading: Colossians 3:1-3
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. (KJV)
When we come to God, asking Jesus to be our Lord and Saviour, we die. Although it isn't a physical death, it is a death of the will. You surrender authority to Christ, and His desires become yours.
If we are more concerned about this life, then our will isn't dead. We can only call Him Lord when we give Him all of us.
