Today's Reading: 1 Corinthians 8:11-13
How much should we consider one another? In other words, what role should the other Christians in my life play in the decisions I make? The common practice is to consider your spouse and children, then perhaps your closest relatives. But what about the lady or gentleman who attends church with you, or the Christian who works with you?
At the time Paul wrote the letter to Corinth, some people were still holding to the tradition of abstaining from certain meats. In order not to offend them, Paul refused to break that tradition. You see, it is more important to have a good relationship with other Christians. Often, that means to put aside what we want, so that we don't hurt someone else.
