Today's Reading: Romans 5:3-5
Do you "glory in tribulations?" Most of us don't really look forward to bad things happening to us. In fact, that's usually when we start asking people to put us on their prayer lists.
Paul, however, looks at tribulation from a different perspective. From his point of view, tribulation is a time to perservere, to be patient in the midst of all the troubles, knowing that God is on your side. That experience molds your character into a person who trusts in God. Our hope is in Him, as verse 5 says, because God's love has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, who was given to us.
