Today's Reading: Psalms 51
King David had it all. He was loved by the people, was victorious in battle, and had a wonderful relationship with God. But it wasn't enough. After seeing Bathsheba bathing, he pursued her affections and had her husband sent into battle to be killed.
As much as God loved David, David hurt Him. So God sent the prophet Nathan to show David what he had done, and the effect it had on his relationship with the Almighty. David's reaction in Psalm 51 explains that all sin keeps us from a loving relationship with our Heavenly Father.
